Description
During their student teaching experience and while living away from home without a significant income, Seaver teacher candidates must pay hundreds of dollars to complete required California teacher assessments. Not all teacher candidates can easily bear this extra burden. These costs continue to rise often deterring some of our most promising teacher candidates from taking the final steps to earn their credentials.
Years ago you likely benefited from knowing professor Susan Giboney, who established and funded the Susan K. Giboney scholarship to offset these costs for students in financial need. These funds have been depleted and now it is time for the rest of us to step up and honor her legacy. Let’s pay it forward to the next generation, using her generous vision as our own.
Those of us in the teaching profession can do this for the next generation of Pepperdine teachers about to enter the field. Let’s do this together! Your gift will go a long way in benefitting a student in need.
