Description
The Pepperdine Beacon is a student-led media and news organization committed to preserving and promoting the values and mission of the university laid out in George Pepperdine’s 1937 Dedicatory Address and the Affirmation Statement. We expand our campus discourse by bringing students, faculty, and alumni from Pepperdine’s five schools together in conversation surrounding the greatest questions of our past and present.
Since our founding four years ago our readership has grown to thousands of readers and engages key influencers in entertainment and culture, global leaders, and nationally recognized academic scholars. Our students are mentored by an Oversight Board that is diverse, scholarly, and notable. The result is our Beacon students have developed into servant leaders both on campus and as Alumni while providing a valuable service to our community.
If you care about free inquiry and accurate reporting, Pepperdine’s distinct Judeo-Christian mission, and the development of servant leaders, we invite you to support the Beacon so that we can continue this important work.
